Suddenly I See!

FOUR puppies have opened their eyes--one girl (orange collar) and three boys (lime green, dark green and yellow collars)!!! We expect the rest of them to open their eyes any time now! Things will definitely pick up now!

Eleven Days Old!

The pups are 11 days old today! They are continuing to walk...and they're getting better and faster! They are also starting to gain some independence.

We will put individual photos of each puppy up this week, as well as information about them and whether or not they have been accounted for.

 We are expecting them to open their eyes any day now!

First (of many) Steps!

The pups are one week and one day old today!

Several of them are starting to take their first steps. They are getting stronger and have gained some weight since Thursday. I was holding the puppy with the orange collar earlier and she started licking my hand for a solid three minutes (FYI like mother, like daughter; her mom, Josie, likes to lick). And, the pup with the yellow collar is starting to wag his tail...a LOT...when he feeds.

It seems as if we have different sizes of puppies. Some of their bodies seem to be stocky, while others seem more petite (however, they are only a week old-haha!)

Five Days Old!

All of the pups weigh over a pound now! They're growing so fast! A few of them seem to have doubled their size since birth. We (and the vet) couldn't be more happy with the progress they've made so far!

Three Days Old!

We are seeing each puppy's personality more and more each day! We love watching their little tails when they are nursing--you can see them wag a little bit. The puppies are also starting to move around more and are becoming more vocal; they're very active newborn pups! Even as I'm writing this, I'm hearing lots of grunting and seeing some eat, while others are sleeping or moving around. :)

This is Josie's first litter and she has been such a great mother to them! She makes sure they are taken care of before taking a snooze for herself (which by the way, she's a snorer- haha!)

We hope each of you are enjoying the updates and pictures of the puppies. In the near future, we will post a picture of each of the pups individually!

Two Days Old!

We changed out the red ribbons with numbers on them to different colors to identify each puppy in the order that they were born. The pink, orange, and purple collars represent the girls, and the rest are boys! Yes...SIX BOYS!!

Josie and Punch Puppies: In the beginning....

On Friday, May 18 at 4:44 p.m. Josie gave birth to her very first puppy. Nearly six and a half hours later at 11:14 p.m. we had our hands full with NINE beautiful, healthy puppies. :)

The purpose of this blog is to show the progress of the puppies through pictures and posts for interested buyers (and for those that just want to see cute pictures ;)).
