Sleeeeepy puppies!

I don't know about you...but sleepy puppy pictures are just so cute! They play so hard and then just pass out! In fact, Monday night they played SO hard before bedtime, they slept the ENTIRE night! Pretty impressive for 4 1/2 week old pups! They are loving the shelf under the coffee table. We've placed a blanket there and they climb up there and fall asleep (pictures shown below).

Girl pups!

We apologize for the delay in blog posts! We've had our hands FULL! We've started the pups on food and they are running and playing like crazy!! They are now four weeks and two days old! We've had some requests for individual pictures of the girl puppies...so here they are!

We've introduced them to some toys...and they are loving them! We love watching them play!

Baby...errr "Puppy" Steps

Well, the pups are cutting teeth, so we're hoping to start weaning them within the next day or so! We've also moved them out of the whelping box into what we like to call "Stage Two" (as seen below) and we've let them run around on the floor some! So much fun!

And THIS is stage two...they have a bigger "living" space, complete with one bedroom, one bathroom, and a living room..haha!



Three Weeks Old: Teething & Training

We can feel baby/puppy teeth starting to pop up! They haven't fully come in yet but you can definitely tell they will be in soon!  They're little ears are starting to open up, too!

They were all asleep....



And literally TWO minutes later...they decided they were starving!



Red was SO hungry he started sucking on his sibling's stomach,




While yellow sat and waited his turn.



And...one (I didn't catch what color) thought he/she would take a snooze while waiting to eat!



Everybody wanted over to the other side to eat, but not everyone would fit...so....



The two that were the least eager to eat (from left to right: yellow and orange) decided to play with each other.

And in case you were wondering, we are starting early on potty training your pups! They started (mostly) using the puppy pads at only two and a half weeks! Yay!



Breaking Free!

Well, the whelping box is almost too small for the pups now...considering they are starting to crawl out!

It all started when Josie was laying outside of the whelping box, and purple was obviously hungry so she climbed over and the ledge and starting feeding. A few minutes later all but the red one were feeding. Of course, we thought this was a little (or a LOT) funny, so we decided to post the pictures!

Individual Puppy Portriats :)

The puppies are two weeks and three days old today! ALL of their eyes are open and they are moving like crazy! We expect to see them running any day now!

Here are the individual pictures of each puppy with their collar color and gender and a little bit of what we've noticed about each one since birth. Deposits have been made on yellow and red. Please keep in mind it was hard to take their individual photos due to squirming..haha!

Orange (female)- Orange is very independent, very vocal, and one of the bigger puppies.

 



Yellow (male)- Yellow is one of the smaller puppies. A deposit has been made on him.




Pink (female)- Pink was the first born and it shows! She likes all the attention! She is a BIG puppy!



Dark Green (male)-  Dark Green was the second born, but the first male. He is also quite large!



Red (male)- Red started "talking" when he was born, and hasn't stopped since! He's the smallest of the bunch and has a deposit put down on him.



Purple (female)- Purple is has a sweet nature about her, but she is the initator of the group (stay tuned for tomorrow's post to see what she started!)



Blue (male)- Blue is really calm and relaxed like his Momma! He's definitely quiet (unlike Red..haha).



Lime Green (male)- Like Blue, we don't hear much out of  Lime Green, he's quiet and laid back.



White (male)- White is energetic and likes to rustle up his siblings!
